01What we do

One meeting in. A complete package out.

Eighteen2 turns the first customer meeting into a standards-checked package. Your engineer reviews a finished draft instead of starting from a phone call.

Piping and instrumentation diagram generated by Eighteen2 with pretreatment on the top row, storage, distribution pump, polish, UV, and final filter on the bottom row, a legend, and a title block.
04P&ID and submittal. A P&ID with title block and tags, plus transmittal, compliance matrix, and schedules, all from the same source.
  1. Flow path and parts

The system drawn in order, city feed to last point of use, every component tagged and tied to a part number with its source.

  2. Demand sized

Gallons per cycle, cycles per day, and peak flow, carried through to RO capacity, storage, and loop size.

  3. Spec check

Design is checked against the most commonly used specifications in the industry, to ensure consistency and compliance. The build will be flagged and noted for under or over design based on those specifications as well as customer requirements.

02How it works

Seven screens in the meeting. A confirmed scope after it.

The questions an applications engineer would ask, in their order. The equipment the water feeds comes first; its loads set quality and volume before you size the system.

In the meeting

  1. Start

Project, location, room, customer contact, and rep. The project link goes to that contact.

  2. Application

Sterile processing, clinical lab, reagent water, pharma, or boiler feed, and the grade to meet.

  3. Equipment

The washers, sterilizers, analyzers, or boilers the water feeds. Their needs drive demand.

  4. Demand

Gallons per day, peak draw, points of use, and loop length, carried into RO, storage, and pipe size.

  5. Feed water

Source, TDS, hardness, iron, temperature, and pressure: the inputs that set pretreatment.

  6. Site

Power in the room and pipe material: the details that sink a proposal when they surface late.

  7. Anything else

Service, parts, or other needs, routed to the person who owns them instead of lost in notes.

After the meeting

  1. Build

The system is drawn, equipment selected, parts list built, and the design checked against industry specifications and customer requirements, with every assumption on screen.

  2. Confirmation and hand off

After the initial discovery, the customer confirms scope while you’re still in the conversation — the same page. A full job package then goes straight to engineering, comes back with an approval, and the final proposal is ready to send. The whole process is logged and timed so you can see where you’re efficient and where the bottlenecks are, in real time.

  3. Quote

We helped with the organizing, documentation, tracking, and accountability. Quote in your own CRM — you’re welcome to use the Eighteen2 documents in your proposal.

03Screens

See the work, not a mock-up.

Screens from the designer, with demo data. The guided demo walks the whole flow.

04Eighteen2 Service

Field service on the same platform.

For the technician on site: a quick visit or a full system walk, with readings, photos, and items to quote, saved to your team's account as you go.

  • Quick visit or full walk

A quick visit takes the symptom, readings, and the parts you touched. A full visit walks the system in order.

  • Saved for the team as you go

Visits save to your company's account, not the phone. If two people edit at once, you are told; nothing is overwritten.

  • Photos and site history

Photos attach to the component they show, and each system keeps its visit history for comparison.

  • A report the customer can open

Print it or share a read-only link. Each quote goes to the Engineer, Sales support, or Aftermarket inbox.

05Who we are

Built by people who install and service these systems.

Our team brings 20 years of installing and servicing high-purity water systems. We saw good proposals stall the same way: the first meeting missed a question, and the engineer rebuilt discovery by phone.

Eighteen2 asks what an applications engineer would ask, in their order, and documents every result. The name is 18.2 MΩ·cm, the resistivity of theoretically pure water.

Based in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania

  1. Budgetary, and says so

Designs are for estimating. A licensed engineer or the manufacturer confirms the final design.

  2. Assumptions on screen

Every sizing rule is written out. When we would do it differently, the verdict says why.

  3. Part numbers, not prices

Price and lead time come back on the RFQ from your supplier, into your quoting system.

  4. Your engineer approves

The software drafts. The engineer reviews, changes, and approves every design.

06Resources

High-purity water reference sheets.

Seven one-page references for the mechanical room, drawn from the same standards record Eighteen2 checks designs against.

07FAQ

Questions we hear at the first meeting.

Something else? Write to contact.us@eighteen2.com.

What is Eighteen2?

Discovery software for high-purity water. It turns the first customer meeting into a complete package: the system drawn, the equipment named, the demand sized, a P&ID, a spec check, and a submittal, with every handoff timed. The quote is still written in your own system.

Does Eighteen2 replace my engineer?

No. It does the first-draft work (sizing, parts, P&ID, spec check, submittal) with every assumption shown. Your engineer still reviews, changes, and approves the design, starting from a complete draft instead of a blank page.

Are the designs engineered or stamped?

No. Eighteen2 produces budgetary designs for estimating and proposals, and labels them that way. A licensed engineer or the equipment manufacturer confirms the final design.

Where do prices come from?

Eighteen2 lists part numbers, not prices. RFQs go to your suppliers from your inbox. Price and lead time come back from the supplier, into the quoting system you already use.

Which applications and standards does it cover?

Sterile processing to AAMI ST108, clinical laboratories to CLSI GP40 with CAP checklist items flagged, laboratory reagent water to ASTM D1193, pharmaceutical Purified Water to USP, and boiler feed and light industrial water to the equipment maker's own spec.

What does my customer see?

A project link. The customer confirms each section of the discovery from that link before it can go to engineering, and confirms the return when the package comes back. They do not need an account.

How do I get started?
